Other than an all-in contract , the client will appoint a team of engineering staff to exercise the powers as authorized in the contract documents on behalf of itself to administer and run the contract , and alternatively inform the contractor.

This nominated team is known as “ The Engineer ” and the site staff in turn appointed by the Engineer to supervise the execution of the project is known as “ the Engineer’s representatives ” . A typical arrangement of the site organization are listed in Fig 4 – 1(a) attached for reference . In brief , they are all respected as “ 皇家佬 ” . We provide a summary list of the major consultant firms in Hong Kong for information .

This may because he did qualified for the promotion however he was short of experience to exercise the new post and worries he might make wrong decision . When things are in doubt , he will then handle in strict compliance with the specifications and drawings but without a bit of judgment , or just simply refers the case to his Senior . ]
