The title of this sub-paragraph in fact should be named “ Pre-work Check List ”. Before commencement of any proposed work , the site supervisor should try to prepare an organized and detailed check list for preparation and execution purposes . The check list should note down every major point that examined from the specifications and drawings at every stage of work for follow up . A good check list will help the various concerned parties to carry out their part of work independently in the same period and to end as scheduled . It also gives a time frame to uncover and solve the hidden problems without holding up the other’s work. For better outcome , the draft check list could be circulated to the concerned parties to seek more advice and comments before implementation .
[ Construction DB Tips : Site supervisor should take it as a long-term practice since it will disclose what is missing and what is excessive when you seek comments from the Senior . A sophisticated ( not comprehensive ) check list of a piece of work will demonstrate the Staff’s capability , planning and know-how of the work and consequently gains confidence from his team leader before work commences . ]
