Here comes the chance to show the site staff’s ability in running the project . Who could finish the assigned works within specified tolerances ( ie with Acceptable Quality ) , within budget ( ie with Lower Cost ) and within pre-determined milestones ( ie On Time ) , who then will have a brilliant track record for the future new job .

Nevertheless , it is not so simple . For quality issue , one should be familiar with the specifications and working drawings ; for cost issue , one should be familiar with the know-how of method statements and deployment of resource ; for time issue , one should be familiar with the stages of work and the predicted programme . Beside all these , safety and environmental protection issues are always a must on a construction site . Furthermore , bearing in mind that your attitude and personnel skills with the seniors , colleagues , sub-contractors , suppliers and the Client’s representatives may also affect the performance .

Note : The procedures , methods and activities set forth in this chapter had been widely used in the construction industry , but in fact may vary considerably with different kind of projects and type of contracts . Hence the main points of such are highlighted and you might take it as some sort of reminders and crosscheck when you do meet the problem .
