[English | 简体] Visual Inspection
This is a means for internal inspection of large diameter pipelines , say exceeding 900mm , between manholes , chambers and structures on any seepage , infiltration , damage to pipe barrel and condition of joints . Visual inspection is only recommended for newly constructed pipelines without connection to existing drainage system . Before entering , care must be sure that both the upstream and downstream ends are open for evacuation access and adequate fresh air supply from outside the pipeline must be ensured . Diesel driven engines for fans and lightings must not be placed inside the pipeline during the inspection period .
