A Bill of Quantities (BOQ) is a document prepared by Quantity Surveyors by 'taking off' quantities of items in tender drawings to allow contractors to bid and produce an estimate of a construction contract's costs.

Continquency or Provisional Sum can be included in the BoQ to cater for foreseen or unforseen items of work.
