This is another non-destructive test ( NDT ) to examine the quality of a butt weld and is to be conducted by specialist staff from an approved testing consultant. The ultrasonic test results in the graph should be printed out and submitted to the Engineer for record purposes. The site supervisor may be asked to dress or grind the welds to facilitate the test.
